Real shame but still a great innings... not a great fan of her 80's stuff but 60-70's stuff was superb... Proud Mary... absolute choon.

Private Dancer was written by Mark Knopfler and originally recorded by Dire Straits.
Must have made a nice pension for the great guitarist.

Re: Tina Turner - RIP
I normally avoid celeb RIP threads, but there was always something magical about Tina.

One of my Dad's favourite tapes to play in the car when I was a youngster was her greatest hits... got to admit what the likes of Steamy Windows and Private Dancer were really about went slightly over my head at that age!

Such a phenomenal singer and so many iconic songs that she made her own.

Sure sign I'm getting old Nutbush City Limits was always on the car radio when I was driving down the Highway in Poplar.
Fantastic energy and a lovely lady.
RIP.

Re: Tina Turner - RIP
Bless her soul.

She toured about 10 years or so ago and she still had insane energy and still had legs to kill for, at around 70.

Whadda dame!

RIP Tina Turner
